- In that 5 1/2 year period MCH treated 2,266 or 2% of the total neonates.
- Of the 2,266 neonates that MCH admitted, 1,520 (67%) were diagnosed with conditions considered to be high-risk before birth.
This list represents 753 of the 1,520 neonate admissions referred from institutions in the tri-county region which had pre-existing conditions.
The balance of admissions between the 753 and the 1,520 neonates treated with pre-existing conditions were admitted from outside the tri-county area, and/or through the MCH Emergency Room Department.
